good work becomes the new platform for profession and career

New job and career fair connects companies with people at different stages of their professional lives

On November 6 and 7, good work at Messequartier Dornbirn brings together companies and advisory organizations with career starters, job seekers, skilled workers, those looking to change jobs, and people re-entering the workforce. The focus is on open positions, educational paths, personal advice, and direct conversations about career prospects.
Career paths today rarely follow a straight line. Further training, industry changes, and re-entry are part of many people’s journeys. At the same time, companies in Vorarlberg are looking for qualified employees and direct contact with potential applicants. good work creates a shared meeting point for this purpose.

“good work is about more than just open positions. Companies, educational providers, and advisory centers meet people in various professional situations there. Visitors find contacts, orientation, and concrete support for their next career step,”explains project manager Marietta Fuchs.

Personal conversations open up new perspectives

At the heart of good work is direct exchange between companies and visitors. Besides open positions, it’s also about job profiles, entry opportunities, and career paths.
A digital tool facilitates the exchange of contact details and supports further networking after the fair.

FUTUREHACK, Startup Stories, Keynotes, and Workshops

Johannes Angerer opens the supporting program on Friday morning with the HR impulse “Fit beats reach.” He shows how companies can effectively design candidate journeys in the AI era. At the subsequent HR get-together, HR managers exchange views on current topics in recruiting and personnel management.

Afterwards, FUTUREHACK brings young people together with personalities from Vorarlberg. Guests include mountain bike pro and extreme athlete Elias Schwärzler. On Friday afternoon, Vorarlberg founders share their paths to self-employment in the Startup Stories. Andreas Pichler from BIFO sheds light on different paths between employment and founding a company. Klaudia Amann addresses how networks and visibility can open new doors in professional life.

On Saturday, Elke Rock speaks about personal impact in professional life. Patrick Konzett focuses on the conscious handling of performance and career success. Lectures and workshops on applications, career orientation, and personal development round off the program on both days of the fair.

Applications, advice, and career orientation

Resume checks, professional application photos, and interest tests complement the fair’s offerings. In individual mini-coachings, visitors receive support on both days with application documents, interviews, and questions about appearance and style.
Advisory centers and institutions provide information about career and training paths, further education, qualification, personal development, and self-employment. Thus, good work also addresses people seeking career orientation or planning a change.

Meeting point for the Vorarlberg labor market

With good work, Messe Dornbirn expands its offerings around education and career. Key partners from the labor market, economy, and media accompany the premiere: AMS Vorarlberg, Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce, Vorarlberg Trade Association, ländlejob.at, and VOL.AT. They anchor the fair in the region and bring diverse perspectives on work, training, and career.
Companies present their fields of activity, open positions, and development opportunities. They connect with potential applicants from several target groups and position themselves as employers. Visitors simultaneously receive support with job search, qualification, and career reorientation.
